Asamoah Amankwah is 2014 National Best Farmer

George Asamoah Amankwah, a farmer from Tano South District of the Brong Ahafo Region is the 2014 National Best Farmer.

His prize is a 3 bedroom fully furnished house donated by Agricultural Development Bank.

The Second Best Farmer award went to Nana Obeng Nuako III, from the Upper Denkyira East District of the Central Region, whilst Yaw Gyan from the Wenchi Municipality in the Brong Ahafo Region took the Third Best Farmer.

They were presented with one tractor with accessories and a double cabin pick-up as prizes for Second and Third National Best Farmers respectively.

The position of 2014 National Best Livestock Farmer went to Nana Odiasempa Antwi Obugyei from the Ejura – Sekyeredumasi District in the Ashanti Region. His prize is one tractor with its matching accessories.

In the fisheries category, 53 year old Raymond Justice Prah from Elmina in the Central Region was adjudged the National Best Fisher and was presented with a double cabin track plus fishing gears as his prize.

44 year old Ekow Esson, from Miemia in the Western Region and 51 year old Felix Asunda of Huti Deke, Yeji, in the Brong Ahafo Region were Second and Third Best Fishers respectively.

Ekow got a 40 horse power outboard motor, one chest freezer and fishing gears, whilst Asunda got an outboard motor, standing fridge and fishing gears.

The 2014 Best Cocoa Farmer award went to Mr. George Owusu of Tepa in the Ashanti Region and was presented with a double cabin Toyota Hilux pick-up and other items as his prize.
