Agribusiness Unit Participates In First Pals Exhibition In Kumasi

The Agribusiness Unit (ABU) of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture participated in a first exhibition organized by PALS Africa Limited in Kumasi from 15th – 16th October, 2015.  PALS is the acronym for Poultry, Aquaculture and Livestock Show and has its vision to develop a poultry, aquaculture and livestock show of international standards and reputation, by Ghanaians for Africa and the whole world.

The Agribusiness Unit acquired a booth with the support of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to display its functions and services to participants at the exhibition. At the ABU booth the Unit exhibited its unique experience to connect with lots of individual investors, Small and medium agribusinesses in the poultry and livestock value chains. Key interest expressed by visitors at the ABU booth was ABU’s 5S Tool and Business and marketing training which is targeted at agribusinesses.

At the ABU booth staff  of ABU assisted some students from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) with guidelines on starting their own businesses in the agriculture sector after school.
