The National Food Buffer Stock Company as part of its mandate among others, in collaboration with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and in consultation with the Board of Directors of NAFCO has come up with the farm gate minimum guaranteed prices for these crops:
- Maize 100kg Ghc45.00
- Paddy rice 85kg Ghc35.00
- Soya beans 100kg Ghc70.00
Farmers are hereby advised that the minimum guaranteed prices are set to protect their incomes, and therefore should take advantage of it and not to sell their produce below these prices.
NAFCO wishes to reiterate that, in line with this directive licensed buying companies should act accordingly.
