Christopher Letsa, the 2013, 3rd National Best Fisher is an inland canoe fisher  with 23 years’ experience who operates his fishing business in Kporve in the Volta region.

Currently, he operates 20 planked canoes using 500 gill nets, 19 outboard motors, 60 paddles and 10 sails with a work force of  60.

Mr. Letsa  has established a school in the community.  He has 5 orphans under his care – 2 in Senior Secondary School, 1 in junior secondary school and 2 are in primary school. He also donates cash towards the development of the community.

He has 3 houses, 3 plots of land, 515 cattle, 229 goats, 305 sheep, 300 fowls, 52 acres of cassava, 46 acres of maize,

15 acres of woodlot, 1 commercial vehicle, 1 private car, 1 motor bike, 1 bicycle, 2 transport boats and 1 service boat which is used to rescue people in distress on the lake where he operates.

He is married to 2 wives and has 14 children.

He received an outboard motor, beverages from Nestle Ghana Ltd,  assorted drinks from Accra Brewery Ltd and Guinness Ghana Brewery Ltd, Fishing nets, floats, ropes, twine and a certificate signed by The President of the Republic of Ghana.
