Crop Pests and Diseases Management Division (CPDMD)

(Part I of the Plants and Fertilizer Act, 2010 (Act 803))


The Crop Pest and Disease Management Division provides (CPDMD) services for extension (Government Organisations and Non-Governmental Organisations), farmers, exporters of agricultural products and Inter-Governmental Organisations (IGOs). Services provided include; technical backstopping on pests and disease identification, diagnosis, integrated control strategies and support in Global GAP certification. The division also provides information on pests and disease situation and training in Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs).


If there is outbreak of pests and diseases in a locality, contact the nearest agricultural office or the PPRSD headquarters for advice on recommended pests and diseases control measures.
