Arrangements for the offtake of produce expected to be realized from the Government’s flagship Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) are all but complete, the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, has indicated.

Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Minister for Food and Agriculture on behalf of the president, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Friday, swore-in new Councils and Board members for four separate institutions under the Agric Sector.

The Minister of Food and Agriculture, Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto will leave Accra on Tuesday, the 17th of October, for a 10 day official visit to Israel

The visit is at the invitation of the Government of Israel through Agritop Limited, an Israeli business firm specializing in greenhouse technology.

The visit also forms part of efforts to deepen bilateral  ties between the two countries, particularly in the areas of agriculture and agri- business.

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA), on Friday 13th of October received donations from three companies towards this year’s National Farmers’ Day celebration slated for 24th of November with a climax on Friday 1st of December, 2017 at Ashanti Region, a district yet to be determined by the ministry.

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA),) has received donations from 2 more companies towards this year’s National Farmers Day celebration. The donation, which is the second in the series of presentations, is to accelerate preparations towards the 33rd edition of the National Farmers’ Day celebration.

The donation was made by 2 companies, including Society General Ghana, Ghana and Collighana respectively
