Bryan Acheampong MP, Ph.D., Minister For Food And Agriculture presents Ultimate Award Prize to the 2022- National Best Farmer, Nana Yaw Sarpong Siriboe Of Siriboe Farms.
We recall in 2022 Nana Yaw Sarpong Siriboe of the Siriboe Farms was adjudged the National Best Farmer at a ceremony held in Kororidua, the Eastern Regional capital.
To bring closure to the 2022 -National Farmers Day activities, at a short ceremony in Accra on Friday, Dr. Bryan Acheampong Minister for Food and Agriculture presented the ultimate cash award prize of GHS 1,000,000 to Nana Yaw Sarpong Siriboe. The Minister took the opportunity to commend all farmers for ensuring Food security in the country over the years.
The Minister indicated that the agriculture sector will witness impressive support and investment by the government as the Ministry embarks on a paradigm shift in Policy, “what stands is the level of determination, practical and sustained commitment by the government to modernize and transform agriculture” He said.
The Minister added that, indeed, it is worth noting that policy initiatives, programmes, and innovative interventions have been tailored to the needs of Ghana’s agriculture, to catalyze the process of change going on in the sector.
He was optimistic that the inventions being rolled out by the government will yield tangible results for the future.
Dr. Bryan Acheampong commended the Best Farmer for the feat in establishing an Agriculture Innovation Training Center for the common good of society and using the platform to motivate and mentor many Ghanaian youth farmers. He urged him to continue to be an example to the youth in Ghana and beyond.

Nana Yaw Sarpong Siriboe thanked the Government through the Honourable Minister for Food and Agriculture for his commitment to Agriculture in the Country and expressed his deepest appreciation to ADB for honoring their promise and for their efforts in acknowledging the contributions of farmers across the country over the years.
Nana Yaw Sarpong Siriboe Indicated his commitment to championing the campaign of motivating and mentoring the youth to see agriculture as a profit-making business.
