YARA Ghana, GEPA and CALLIGHANA Donate Towards National Farmers' Day Celebration

Three corporate organizations has donated towards the 39th edition of the National Farmers Day Celebration. The donations were made at the forecourt of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) in Accra on the 16th of November 2023.

Yara Ghana donated a cheque of Ghc20,000. Madam Theresa Randolph, Director Yara Ghana made the donation on behalf of his outfit.

Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) presented a cheque of Ghs10,000. Alexandra Dadzawa, Project Director made the donation on behalf of GEPA.

Callighana also donated a cheque of Ghs10,000.00 and products worth Ghs 10,000.00  towards the 39th Farmers’ Day Celebration.

Receiving the donations on behalf of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, was the Deputy Minister of MoFA in charge of Crops, Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo.

Hon. Frimpong Addo deputy minister in charge of crops thanked Yara Ghana, GEPA and Callighana on behalf of the Minister for their continuous donations towards the celebration,  encouraging other corporate organizations to donate in support of this year’s Farmers' Day Celebration.

About the 2023 National Farmers' Day Celebration

The Theme for this year’s Farmers’ Day Celebration, is ‘Delivering Smart Solutions for Sustainable Food Security and Resilience”.

The year's celebration would as usual be preceded by a 5-Day National Agricultural Festival, Agrifest Ghana 2023 which is slated from Monday, 27th November to Friday, 1st December 2023. Agrifest Ghana 2023 is expected to be held on the principal streets of the Ministerial enclave in Accra.

The last day of Agrifest which marks the first Friday of December will be celebrated with an Awards Night Ceremony at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Auditorium where H E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana will confer national honours on best-performing farmers and fishers.
